Deleting layers in landscape drawings.
A gCADPlus user was having difficulty deleting layers in a drawing. We show that the layer isolate tool is helpful when sorting this issue out.
This tool is found on the Tools drop-down menu, but can also be started with the isolayer command.
In this movie, we show that the layer isolate tool is valuable for resolving this issue.
Once a layer is isolated, entities can be quickly removed. Once that’s done, the layer command can be used to check that all entities on the layer in question have been removed. In this case (and it is a common error), we showed that the designer had made a floating viewport on the layer he wanted to delete. Once the viewport was removed (or moved to another layer), the layer could be deleted. The movie also shows how important it is to be aware of a layer’s off/on status when trying to select entities.
